Decolav 9020-DB Deco Bronze Mounting Ring, DecoBronze

We remodelled our bathroom and installed two vessel sinks. We purchased this oil rubbed bronze mounting ring. Like other Decolav products, the mounting ring is well built and looks very good. Keep in mind that the decobronze is not as dark as your typical oil rubbed bronze finish. It is more a dark grey color, as seen in the picture. The ring is also quite thick (3/4 inch thick). Ensure that your drain fitting is sufficiently long to accomodate the ring as well as other surfaces.

When our old vessel sink started to leak, we had to get a new drain and ring. This one exactly matched the one we originally had so it was perfect.

We purchased several Decolav items for our bathroom renovation. The problem is that the Decolav DecoBronze 3-by-3/4-Inch Mounting Ring #9020-DB is not resistant to water damage and has peeled and blistered in a wet environment. Since the ring fits directly under a vessel sink it is preposterous that Decolav would sell a product like this. It looks nice new but it looks miserable in a year or two when it deteriorates. Don't waste your $35+ on this defective product.
