KOHLER K-6001-96 Bottom Basin Rack, Biscuit

This is a very nice accessory for a Kohler sink. It protects the sink from scratches, while allowing small debris to fall and be washed down the drain. This is a much better solution than a rubber mat. I debated on whether to order the white or the stainless steel rack. I wish I had ordered the stainless steel rack, since the instructions I received for the white rack warned against putting hot pots on the white rack. I wish there was more information like this online on the Kohler and Amazon web sites. Also, when preparing tomatoes for tomato sauce, I did get some staining on the rack. We washed the rack in the dishwasher, and I no longer see the stains. But I am still worried about staining and am being more careful about what I let fall on the rack.

This is my second Kohler bottom basin rack. They do protect the bottom of the sink from scratches. This is my second one that I have purchased in 3 years because they rust easily. After the first one rusted, I vowed not to put sharp knives in with it. But, it rusted anyway. Right know it is a mess with splits in the vinyl and rust spots everywhere. I babied it and it rusted anyway. Next time im getting the stainless steel one.

Excellent item to have and use with the Kohler sink. Lets you use a small container of soapy water to wash dishes and then rinse and leave in sink standing up, but off the bottom of the sink. KOHLER K-6001-0 Bottom Basin Rack, White
